Bildungsgutschein ยท Pay with your voucher

Have a Bildungsgutschein? Put it toward a Kaern course.

If the Agentur für Arbeit or your Jobcenter has issued you a Bildungsgutschein (education voucher), you can use it toward approved vocational training at Kaern. You arrange the voucher yourself — Kaern simply credits it against your course fee.

Please note: Kaern is currently pursuing AZAV accreditation — the certification that lets a Bildungsgutschein be redeemed here; it is not yet active. Kaern does not advise on or process funding, and does not assess your eligibility. You apply for the voucher yourself, directly with your Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter, who decide entirely. Register below and we’ll let you know the moment Kaern becomes an approved provider so you can redeem yours.

How it works

Three steps. The funding part is between you and the Agentur für Arbeit — Kaern only handles the course.

You do this

Apply for your voucher

Request a Bildungsgutschein from your Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter. Eligibility, approval and the application are entirely between you and them — Kaern is not involved and gives no funding advice.

Choose your course

Once Kaern is an approved (AZAV) provider, pick the eligible AI, engineering or business course you want to train in — practical, build-real-things, online.

We credit the voucher

Bring your approved voucher to Kaern and we bill it instead of you. For training your Bildungsgutschein covers, your out-of-pocket cost is €0.

What a Bildungsgutschein is

A voucher from the Agentur für Arbeit / Jobcenter that covers the fees of approved vocational training, to help people re-skill into in-demand work.

You apply for it — typically if you’re unemployed or at risk of it. Kaern only redeems an issued voucher.
๐Ÿงญ

Other programs exist

Founders may look into a Gründungszuschuss; employees into Qualifizierungsgeld. These are separate government programs you’d arrange yourself — we just mention them so you know they’re there.

Kaern does not handle these — ask your Agentur für Arbeit or a funding advisor.
๐Ÿ’ณ

No voucher? Still join.

You can self-fund any Kaern course directly, with 0% interest instalment options. A voucher just means the Agentur pays your fee instead of you.

Across Europe

Most EU countries fund vocational training the same way Germany does — a voucher or credit you obtain from your national agency, redeemable at an approved provider. Kaern is pursuing approved-provider status market by market.
