Hello. I'm Otto. Pull up a chair.
I've spent most of my working life in the unglamorous middle of companies — the part nobody puts on the homepage. The part where a stainless-steel frame gets welded, where a pump from a supplier in Italy either arrives on Tuesday or doesn't, where a finished cycleWASH machine gets onto a pallet, onto a truck, and to a customer in Lyon without a scratch. That middle is where promises made by your sales team become things that physically exist and physically move. That's operations. That's supply chain. That's this course.
Who this is for. You are a founder of a Kaern startup. You make something — a physical product, a kitted product, a service with real delivery steps — and you've discovered that "we'll just figure out the logistics" is not a plan. You don't need an MBA. You need to think clearly about flow, suppliers, stock, delivery, quality, and growth without drowning.
What you'll be able to do by the end:
- Map any process as a flow, find the bottleneck, and improve throughput without guessing.
- Choose, qualify, and manage suppliers so you're not held hostage by one vendor.
- Hold the right amount of inventory — not the amount that feels safe, the amount the math supports.
